A one-day United Nations donor conference in Sarajevo is seeking to raise 500 million euros ($660 million) to build homes for some 74,000 people who are still displaced after the 1990s conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The conference on April 24 is being organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
UNHCR spokeswoman Melissa Fleming said in a statement earlier this month that the project "will ensure that the right people are selected and subsequently receive adequate housing solutions."
The conference comes two decades after the siege of Sarajevo by Bosnian Serb forces began in April 1992.
The Bosnian conflict left an estimated 200,000 people dead and some 2.7 million refugees and internally displaced people, in the largest displacement in Europe since World War II.
