British Prime Minister David Cameron is traveling to Paris for talks with French President Nicolas Sarkozy on the situation in Libya, where NATO is leading air operations aimed to protect civilians from attacks by Muammar Qaddafi's forces.
The French president's office said the two leaders will be joined at the talks over dinner by their defense ministers.
The Paris meeting will directly follow a gathering in Doha, in Qatar, of a "contact group" of some 40 states and international organizations on Libya.
The Doha meeting is expected to be addressed by rebels fighting to end Qaddafi's four-decade rule in Libya.
