Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and his Kosovo counterpart Hashim Thaci are meeting in Brussels in the latest effort to foster better ties between Serbia and its former territory of Kosovo.
European Union Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele said on the eve of the EU-sponsored talks that a deal might be reached in this round of negotiations.
Although nearly 100 countries, including the United States and most EU member states have recognized Kosovo's 2008 declaration of independence, Serbia has refused to follow suit.
The EU however has made better relations with Kosovo one of the main conditions Belgrade must fulfill in order to start membership talks with the 27-member bloc.
The European Commission will deliver a report on progress between Belgrade and Pristina in April.
