Officials in Azerbaijan say at least six people have been killed in the collision of a passenger bus with a train in a suburb of the capital, Baku.
Health Ministry spokesman Anar Gadirli is quoted by the Interfax news agency as saying 33 people were injured in the collision, with eight of them in serious condition.
The collision is reported to have occurred at around 8 a.m. Baku time.
One witness told RFE/RL’s Azerbaijani Service that the bus appeared to malfunction and came to a stop on the rail tracks before it was hit by the train.
