U.S. President Barack Obama is in Poland on the final stage of his weeklong European tour.
After flying in from the Group of Eight (G8) summit in France, Obama laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and at the Warsaw Ghetto Memorial.
He later attended a working dinner with more than a dozen presidents from former Communist states, plus the leaders of Germany and Italy.
On May 28, Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski greeted Obama at the presidential palace in a formal ceremony.
The two were expected to discuss energy issues and the stationing of U.S. F-16 warplanes on Polish soil, among other topics.
Obama planned to wrap up his visit later in the day and return to the United States.
