Pakistan’s Air Force says two Indian aircraft have violated Pakistani airspace.
Pakistan says it responded to the June 11 incursion by sending up two fighter jets to "challenge the intruders."
It says the Indian military planes crossed over Pakistan’s eastern border and stayed in Pakistani airspace for about two minutes before crossing back into India.
The Indian Air Force said two of its planes "on a routine flying training sortie seem to have flown close to the border.”
It says the planes appear to have committed “a technical violation."
Such incursions have occurred in the past between the two nuclear-armed rivals.
Pakistan and India have fought three major wars since their partition in 1947 but have taken steps to improve relations in recent years.
