Pakistan's military said on March 28 that its troops had killed 15 suspected militants in the northwestern Khyber tribal area near the Afghan border.
A statement from the army said its soldiers spotted a group of militants in the Mastak area of the Tirah Valley and attacked them.
The statement said three Pakistani soldiers were wounded in the fighting.
The information could not be verified.
Pakistan's military launched an offensive against militants in the tribal regions along the Afghan last year.
The Pakistani military says more than 1,200 militants have been killed since that operation started.
