ISLAMABAD – Reports from Pakistan say up to 16 people have been killed in a bus crash in northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province.
Police said the bus overturned and fell into a gorge in the Koz Kamela area of the mountainous Kohistan district, around 200 kilometers north of Islamabad.
The bus was reportedly heading from the city of Rawalpindi to Gilgit.
Police official Mujib ur Rehman said 16 dead and more than 20 injured people were pulled from the wreckage, and that the death toll could rise because some of the injured were in critical condition.
