Reports from Russia’s Sakhalin Island say a gunman has shot dead two people and wounded six others inside a Christian Orthodox cathedral.
The local church authority said the attacker stormed inside the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, shooting dead a nun and a parishioner and injuring six other worshipers during the service on February 9.
Interfax reports that the suspected attacker was detained after the shooting and reportedly worked for a private security company.
