The government of Russia's Republic of Tatarstan has announced rewards for information related to preparations for possible terrorist acts and recent arson attacks against Orthodox churches.
Tatarstan's government said that 1 million rubles ($30,150) will be given for information related to those behind significant amounts of handmade explosives that were found in the city of Tuban Kama and in the Aleksei district last month.
A separate reward of 1 million rubles was announced for information related to the November arson attacks against four Orthodox churches in Tatarstan.
Investigators have classified the attacks as vandalism and arson, but Tatarstan's prosecutor-general insists they should be investigated as terrorism.
