Russia says two of its nationals have been kidnapped in western Sudan.
A spokesman for the Russian Embassy in Khartoum said on February 3 that the two pilots were kidnapped in Zalingei in Darfur region on January 29.
Artur Safukov said efforts were being made to secure the pair's release.
He declined to provide other details.
Russian media reported that the two men were employed by Russian airline UTair and were in Sudan on a contract for the UN mission in the country, UNAMID.
On February 1, six Bulgarian contractors working for the UN World Food Program were freed after being held for a week by rebels in south Sudan.
