The blast occurred at a shopping center in Kaslik, some 20 kilometers from the capital. The shopping center was closed at the time of the explosion.
Opposition parliamentarian Faris Bouez condemned the blast, describing it as "a political message" to anti-Syrian protesters.
On 19 March, a car bomb in a shopping area in another Christian suburb of Beirut injured several people.
The explosions come after weeks of pro- and anti-Syrian demonstrations in Lebanon following the 14 February killing of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, which some Lebanese blame on neighboring Syria.
Syria has since been under strong international pressure to withdraw its 14,000 troops from Lebanon.
