Armenians Protest Visit By Russian Foreign Minister

Activists in Armenia's capital protested the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. They marched on April 21 from Yerevan's Liberty Square to the Russian Embassy, where scuffles with police took place. Activists said Lavrov was bringing an "anti-Armenian" peace plan for the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. They also demanded a halt to Russian arms sales to Azerbaijan. (RFE/RL's Armenian Service)
