Security forces in Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal district have freed four kidnapped employees of a local petroleum company. A military official told RFE/RL’s Radio Mashaal on January 21 on condition of anonymity that a rescue operation late on January 20 in the Mir Ali area of the North Waziristan district also killed two militants from the Aleem Khan group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) who were involved in the kidnapping.
