Former Bosnian Serb military chief General Ratko Mladic says he is too ill to attend a war crimes court hearing at which he is scheduled to enter a plea to a fresh count of multiple killings.
The UN tribunal has released a form Mladic filled out in which he explains he is too ill to go to court for the hearing on November 10.
The court has not released details of Mladic's illness. A separate form filled out by a nurse at the tribunal's detention unit says Mladic may "require an extended period of convalescence."
Mladic, 69, faces charges of genocide and crimes against humanity for allegedly masterminding Serb atrocities throughout the Bosnian War.
