Yanukovych Wants To 'Establish The Truth' About Euromaidan Deaths
Deposed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said he wanted to "establish the truth" about the death of more than 100 protesters during the 2014 Euromaidan revolution. Now living in exile in Russia, he appeared by videolink on November 25 from Rostov-on-Don before a Kyiv courtroom. Yanukovych will be questioned as a witness in the trial of five former Ukrainian riot police officers accused of murdering protesters. He will also be asked what role he played in the crackdown. The brief hearing was halted and rescheduled to November 28 because the accused were unable to make it to the Kyiv courthouse due to protests outside. (RFE/RL's Russian Service)
