The United States have carried out a strike on militants in Kabul, U.S. officials say.
The officials told Reuters the strike targeted suspected Islamic State-Khorosan (IS-K) militants.
The Associated Press reported that it was a drone strike that hit a vehicle with “multiple suicide bombers” on the way to Kabul airport and the threat was believed to have been eliminated.
It was not clear if the U.S. strike was connected to a rocket hitting a residential area near the Kabul airport earlier today.
