17 October 2005 -- A Chinese spacecraft with two astronauts on board has returned safely to Earth.
The Shenzhou 6 touched down in Inner Mongolia early today after five days in orbit.
It was China's second manned space flight.
Chinese state television said a portion of the Shenzhou 6 remained in orbit and is to continue operating for up to half a year.
