18 November 2005 -- Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Noghaideli today discussed energy cooperation with his Kazakh counterpart, Danial Akhmetov.
In particular, the two men discussed the possible purchase of Kazakh natural gas by Georgia.
The talks took place at the start of Noghaideli's two-day visit to Kazakhstan.
Noghaideli is traveling with Georgian Energy Minister Nika Gulauri; railways chief Irakli Ezugbaia; and Nikoloz Vashakidze, the president of Georgia's Oil Corporation.
Noghaideli told reporters upon his departure from Tbilisi that he will press Kazakh businesspeople and government officials to invest in Georgia.
The Georgian delegation is expected to hold talks later today with President Nursultan Nazarbaev. Nazarbaev visited Georgia last month.
