July 3, 2006 -- Religious leaders and nongovernmental organizations are opening separate meetings in Moscow today to prepare recommendations that will be submitted to leaders at the Group of Eight (G8) summit of leading industrialized countries in St. Petersburg on July 15-17.
More than 200 religious leaders from about 40 countries are expected to attend the Faith Summit, while some 700 representatives of Russian and foreign nongovernmental organizations are expected to attend the Civil Eight 2006 meeting.
