Gazprom To Open Offices Throughout Central Asia

The head of Gazprom, Aleksei Millier (left), in talks with Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev in January (epa) August 9, 2006 -- Gazprom Neft-Asia, the Kyrgyz-based subsidiary of Russia's Gazprom Neft oil company, today said it would soon open offices in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

The company, which was set up last month, is also considering opening offices in China and Afghanistan.


The announcement was made today by Bolot Abildaev, Gazprom Neft Asia's chief executive, at a meeting with Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev in Bishkek.
