August 22, 2006 -- U.S. and Iraqi forces say that over the past week they have captured "well over 100 known and suspected Al-Qaeda terrorists and terrorist associates."
U.S. military spokesman Major General William B. Caldwell said one of those seized was linked to the February 22 bombing of a Shi'ite shrine that triggered the current destructive cycle of sectarian bloodshed.
