December 18, 2006 -- Reports from Bishkek say President Kurmanbek Bakiev's younger brother, Janysh, a former first deputy chairman of the country's National Security Service (SNB), has filed a lawsuit against the parliament.
Addressing fellow lawmakers today, parliamentarian Dooronbek Sadyrbaev said Janysh Bakiev is suing the legislature over a September 22 parliamentary resolution that suggested he was involved in a scheme to frame opposition leader Omurbek Tekebaev.
