President Ahmadinejad (file photo) (epa) January 13, 2007 -- Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad arrived in Venezuela today for talks with President Hugo Chavez.

Ahmadinejad last visited Venezuela in September, when he described Chavez as his "brother."

The two presidents, who frequently make hostile remarks about the United States, say they are building an alliance between their countries.

Chavez has voiced support for the Iranian government's pursuit of nuclear technology. After Venezuela, the Iranian president is due to visit Nicaragua.
