The order issued today says that, as of April 1, foreign nationals and noncitizens will be barred from working at open-air markets.
It also says that the number of foreigners should not exceed 10 percent of the traders working at any given supermarket or shopping center in Kyrgyzstan.
Authorities have denied the move is aimed at squeezing foreigners out of the country.
