May 16, 2007 -- Negotiations between Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych aimed at ending Ukraine's political crisis have stalled.
After three hours of talks, Yushchenko and Yanukovych failed to agree on a date for early parliamentary elections.
Earlier in the week, both sides said a deal would be struck today.
Yushchenko wants the poll held in June or July, while Yanukovych favors September or October.
Meanwhile, more than 20,000 Yanukovych supporters gathered for a demonstration in Kyiv today.
