May 24, 2007 -- A roadside bomb explosion today killed six police officers and a district chief in Afghanistan's southeastern Paktika Province.
Paktika Governor Akram Khpalwak blamed Taliban guerrillas for the attack.
Ten other Afghans died in two separate attacks across Afghanistan today.
Meanwhile, officials said that Afghan and U.S.-led coalition forces killed 18 suspected Taliban in two clashes in southern Afghanistan on May 23.
