Syrian Troops Retake Damascus Suburbs

Syrian government forces are reported to stormed rebellious areas near the capital of Damascus and have retaken control of eastern suburbs from opposition fighters on January 29. Government troops had been battling rebels from the Free Syrian Army shelling neighborhoods for two days.The fighting was the closest to the Syrian capital since street protests erupted in March.
