As Jews celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, thousands of Orthodox believers are taking part in a pilgrimage to Uman, Ukraine. The town is the burial site of Rabbi Nachman, the founder of a 200-year-old branch of the Hasidic Jewish sect. Pilgrims visited the rabbi's grave and celebrated the New Year with prayer, songs, and dancing. (RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service)
