Thousands of demonstrators led by influential Islamic cleric Tahir-ul Qadri marched to Islamabad on January 14 to protest government corruption and demand election reforms. As supporters began gathering in the capital to await the marchers, VOA spoke to one participant, Pakistani-born British citizen Mariam Khalid, who had flown to Islamabad to take part.
