Afghan security forces on June 30 defused a suicide bomber's explosive vest while he was still wearing it, preventing an attack in Jalalabad. The province's police chief said that the would-be attacker was walking near a group of young people playing cricket when police stopped him, handcuffed him, and defused the explosives. Police said the attacker is a Pakistani citizen. (Reuters)
