Thousands Attend Funeral Of Slain Protester

Thousands of Ukrainians chanted "Hero!" as a coffin carrying the body of Mikhail Zhyzneuski, a protester who was killed during clashes with police, was carried through the streets of Kyiv on January 26. Some demonstrators carried banners saying, "Yanukovych is a murderer." Zhyzneuski's body was carried through Independence Square to the site of his death at barricades near the Ukrainian parliament.
