Crowd Sings National Anthem At Antigovernment Rally In Kyiv

A huge crowd of antigovernment protesters gathered in Kyiv's Independence Square on February 2 to demand that President Viktor Yanukovych step down. Some estimates put the number of participants as high as 50,000. The demonstrators sang Ukraine's national anthem before a series of addresses by opposition leaders. (Reuters)
