Three more High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS, will be delivered to Ukraine by its Western allies, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced on May 9. "They come from U.S. armed forces' stocks and will be paid by us," he said after meeting with his U.S. counterpart, Lloyd Austin, in Washington. HIMARS is a missile launcher mounted on a truck that can fire multiple guided missiles in quick succession. Missiles supplied to Ukraine have a range of up to 80 kilometers.
