Another Russian Deported In Spy Scandal

The U.S. has expelled a man who was reportedly a 12th Russian agent in a spy ring operating in the United States.

Spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security Matt Chandler said 23-year-old Aleksei Karetnikov "was ordered removed from the United States by an immigration judge."

Chandler said Karetnikov "admitted that he was present in the United States in violation of immigration law" and voluntarily agreed to deportation rather than face court proceedings in the U.S.

Ten members of the spy ring were exchanged last week for four spies convicted in Russia. An 11th spy was arrested but fled after posting bail.
