KYIV ---Rescue workers from Tajikistan's Ministry for Emergency Situations have found two of the three Ukrainian mountaineers missing in the Pamir Mountains, RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service reports.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dikusarov told journalists today that one of the mountaineers was taken to hospital, and the second joined the rescue team looking for the third missing climber.
An official from the Ukrainian Consulate in Tashkent has arrived in Tajikistan to provide assistance to the rescued Ukrainians.
