Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Kornelia Ninova told BTV television that her party had a "plan for what should unite us" after President Rumen Radev on January 16 handed her the mandate to form a new government. Ninova will attempt to form a coalition to rule the divided country in hopes of avoiding a fifth general election in two years. Two parties -- GERB and the reformist We Continue the Change -- finished first and second in the October 2 snap poll but failed to cobble together a coalition government.
