Georgian 'Foreign Agent' Law Triggers Brawls And Street Clashes

There have been clashes with police in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, after a controversial new law passed its first reading in the national parliament. The law would require companies with over 20 percent funding from abroad to register as "foreign agents" and has been compared to legislation that has been used in Russia to restrict independent media and the work of nongovernmental organizations.
