Germany will provide another 200 million euros ($212 million) to Ukraine to support education, health care, and drinking water supplies, as well as urban reconstruction. Jochen Flasbarth, who serves as the German government's commissioner for the reconstruction of Ukraine, pledged the aid during a visit to the country, dpa learned on October 21. According to the Economic Cooperation and Development Ministry in Berlin, Germany has so far allocated around 1 billion euros for civilian purposes since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
