A leaked video from 1989 reveals that Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was elected to a one-year caretaker period as supreme leader. Khamenei has held the position for almost 29 years, but at the start, he said he didn't feel qualified. The 20-minute video clip was posted on social media by exiled Iranian journalist Shahed Alavi.
