Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai has approved the establishment of a special tribunal to investigate allegations of fraud in September's parliamentary elections.
Supreme Court official Abdol Wakil Omari told the Pajhwok Afghan News that the tribunal, which will be staffed by five legal experts, will start working this week.
The new Afghan parliament is due to be inaugurated on January 20, although a number of losing candidates continue to protest the results.
