Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbaev has arrived in Britain, where he held talks with Prime Minister David Cameron.
The Kazakh leader will also be treated to a lunch at Buckingham Palace with Queen Elizabeth II on November 4.
From London, Nazarbaev is scheduled to head to France, where he will meet President Francois Hollande.
In both countries, the Kazakh president is also expected to meet business leaders at a time when the oil-rich country is struggling to find policy responses to plummeting oil prices and economic slowdown in Russia and China, Kazakhstan's main trading partners.
According to the president's press office, Nazarbaev is expected to oversee in Paris the signing of "some notable commercial agreements."
