Merkel Begins Her South Caucasus Tour In Georgia

German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, on August 23, kicking off a three-day trip to the South Caucasus region. Merkel is set to meet with Georgian officials and also to visit the dividing line with the country's breakaway region of South Ossetia. After the Georgian visit, she will travel to Armenia before visiting Azerbaijan on August 25.
