NATO Assessing Russian Troop Pullout From Belarus Following Drills

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said the Western alliance is assessing whether Russia has pulled out all troops sent to Belarus for joint exercise Zapad 2017 last month. Speaking in Brussels on October 5, Stoltenberg told RFE/RL that NATO "closely monitored" the drills, but that it was too early to make any final assessment about Russia's withdrawal. (RFE/RL)
