A court in Pakistan has granted former military ruler Pervez Musharraf bail in a case related to the murder of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
Musharraf's lawyer, Salman Safdar, said that an antiterrorism court in the northwestern city of Rawalpindi ordered Musharraf to pay two bail bonds of $10,000 each.
Musharraf's is accused of failing to provide adequate security for Bhutto, who was killed in Rawalpindi while campaigning for parliamentary elections in December 2007.
Musharraf denies the allegations and has claimed that the charges are politically motivated.
Despite the bail, Musharraf is expected to remain under house arrest in two separate cases related to the sacking of judges when he imposed emergency rule in 2007 and the 2006 death of a Baluch rebel leader.
