Three Pakistani soldiers were killed in an attack late on December 28 in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, intelligence officials told RFE/RL. Armed men attacked a security checkpoint in the Kurram tribal district on the border with Afghanistan, said an intelligence official who did not want to be named, adding that 10 other members of the security forces were wounded.
