Officials say that two civilians were killed in a suicide car bombing that targeted a security patrol in North Waziristan, a district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of northwest Pakistan bordering Afghanistan. A security official told RFE/RL on condition of anonymity that the attackers' explosives-laden car collided with a vehicle of the security forces, triggering a blast. The official said the vehicle of the security forces was bulletproof and the soldiers were not harmed in the attack. Two passersby -- a husband and wife -- were killed in the attack.
