Pakistani officials say at least six people have been killed and eight others wounded in a roadside bomb blast in the North Waziristan tribal district bordering Afghanistan.
Local officials said the attack took place on a road in the Khadi area on December 5. All those killed and injured were civilians.
Witnesses and some officials were quoted as saying the bomb was planted in a motorcycle parked on the side of the road.
The attack was said to have targeted at least one vehicle transporting military recruits.
The scene was cordoned by the security forces soon after the blast and the injured were rushed to the hospital in neighboring Bannu district for medical treatment.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.
Violence in Pakistan has declined in recent years following a series of military offensives against militants along the country's northwestern border, but militant groups has continued to carry out deadly attacks.
