Putin Meets Turkish President Erdogan In Ankara

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on December 1, where he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Putin laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk before being welcomed by a military honor guard. The two presidents were expected to discuss energy cooperation and trade as well as their opposing positions on the crisis in Syria. (Reuters)
