Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is in Beijing to meet with his Chinese and Indian counterparts.
Lavrov met first on February 2 with Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for bilateral discussions before the two joined Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said the three would discuss the situation in the Asian-Pacific region, global security, including Syria, Iraq, and the Islamic State militant group, and the situation in Ukraine and other regions.
The three were also expected to review the coordination of the three countries' policies within international organizations such as "ASEAN, the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), and others."
Lavrov, Swaraj, and Wang were also set to discuss India's bid to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a move Moscow and Beijing support.
Lavrov is due to travel on to Turkmenistan on February 3.
